Named after a classical ship class, Frigate Professional places a good selection of useful file management tools at your disposal. Besides its twin-panel file explorer, you can also find a built-in FTP client, document viewer and editor, calculator, startup manager and more. The software can simplify your work in many ways. From basic operations to advanced ones, you can do everything faster, easier and elegantly.

The software is free to try, without any functionality restrictions. Downloading its setup file and installing its components is a simple operation and it shouldn't take more than a minute, even on older machines. There are no special requirements to meet and you don't have to sacrifice too much memory or processing power.

You can browse through your files and folders on two identical panels, on Frigate's user interface. Creating folders, copying or moving files, deleting them and other basic actions can be done on the fly, by clicking the appropriate buttons on the toolbar. Of course, it is also possible to click and drag files from one place to another. External memory devices can be accessed on the same panel and reading and copying data is just as easy. Furthermore, the software lets you write data on blank discs, without going through too many options.

Other operations, besides managing files, can be carried out on the same interface, but on different tabs. A secondary file manager displays your folders in a tree structure, just like on a standard Explorer window, but it also gives you quicker access to the system's Registry and Shells. Additionally, you can set up connection parameters to one or more FTP servers on the same tab. This gives you the possibility of connecting to remote data at a moment's notice, with a single click.

Frigate Professional's integrated text editor can be accessed instantly on one of its tabs. It provides basic font and paragraph setting options, but it is capable of opening various file types, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and HTML files. You can also use this editor to write code, since it provides syntax support for C, C++, perl, Java and many other languages.

Efficient file management and effortless editing are just a few advantages you can expect from Frigate Professional.

Pros

Frigate Professional comes with a twin-panel file explorer, built-in FTP manager, document editor and web browser. It provides quick access to the system's Registry and other important locations. The software is lightweight and it doesn't have a significant impact on your computer's performance.

Cons

The built-in web browser is a bit basic.
